The journey of the food truck in our country has been a long and bumpy saga, but as all fairy tales have a happy end or begin (depending on your perspective) the humble food truck is undergoing a drastic make-over on a global scale. These gourmet food trucks are slowly find identity on our local Gurgaon streets, serving up restaurant quality meals at street food prices.
Adding to this growing food truck culture are two drifters so christened for their love of travelling and their love for anything with wheels and a powerful engine. They have a lot in common apart from their passions. Both are hospitality industry veterans who decided that they wanted time to travel and showcase to the world (let's start with Gurgaon first) their brand of food.

The food production is headed by Chef SaumitraSuryavanshi (that's right an actual chef) with over thirteen years of experience in the hospitality industry working his way up the ladder with brands like TGIF, Keys and Fairmont Raffles Hotels International. Saumitra's passion for food and travelling has taken him to many places across India and overseas, but his favourite culinary destination has to be Thailand, whose flavours among others he has inculcated into his present menu as well. But nothing can be said more about Saumitra without mentioning his trustee steed, his motorcycle that has taken to more places then he can remember.

The operations and PR is headed by Ankur Gupta anther hospitality industry stalwart who has worked with brands like the Taj and Fairmont Raffles Hotels International. His last assignment being with the prestigious and iconic Taj Mahal hotel in Mumbai as Restaurant Manager. Ankur's passions apart from eating great food and travelling is high tempo EDM music thumping. His dream is to go to every international music festival.
So what better way for these two foodies and travel enthusiasts to combine their passions but by showcasing their love for food on wheels, thus the Drifters Café, the happy truck was born.

"Ethos to bring affordable" gourmet meals into everyday life using fresh locally sourced produce. Customers can enjoy quick meals on the go while not comprising on flavour and wholesomeness with our 'meal in a box' concept. Our aim is to keep people coming back for more because they love our food and what it stands for 'Affortable, Wholesome & Flavourful'.

Our menus are dynamic based on seasonality, as well as customer trends and good old comfort food favourites. By not restricting ourselves to a singular cuisine, but experimenting with new dishes and 'meals in a box' always keeping our menu fresh and exciting for our customers while building up the expectation for what is coming next. Our main cuisine inspirations however, come from South East Asia, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean influences as these flavours are close to our hearts and stomachs.

Our vision is to have drifters cafe food trucks near as many corporate parks, food districts and leisure entertainment locations in Delhi NCR in the next one or two years and then expand into other metropolitan cities. We want to offer our brand of 'wholesome goodness' to corporate, students and families looking for great food that doesn't burn a hole in your monthly budget, while ensuring variety and consistency.
